The Birth of KinActive

KinActive founder, Dr. Emily Heisey, DPT, experienced firsthand the concern and guilt of watching her own child fall behind in gross motor milestones. She knew that other parents had to be facing similar struggles while feeling helpless as they watched their little ones lag in development. Driven by a passion to help others, Dr. Heisey used her expertise and transformed her own personal struggle into a mission: to ensure no parent felt powerless in their child’s developmental journey. Thus, KinActive Kids was born!

About Us

Our dedicated team, now led by Dr. Emily Heisey, DPT, and Dr. Matt Otteman, DC, has created the world’s only intensive therapy clinic that successfully combines Physical Therapy and Chiropractic to achieve amazing results in a short amount of time. Our mission is to change the way the world treats its children and to date we have had families from 40 states and 15 countries walk through our doors. We work with children with all kinds of diagnoses and special needs, but we don’t let the diagnosis define the child. Where others see impossible, we see opportunity.
